Concept posters (10 -12)
Each student will:
- Measure different areas of campus in metric/SI units and corporeal instruments (feet, arms, etc.)
- Draw, sketch, describe, prototype place-based ideas for designs:
- East Amphitheater
- Parking Lot
- Northside of West building
- West Amphitheater
- River Corridor
- Create a concept poster to represent their prefered idea.
- Examine other students ideas and reorganize into new groups based on interest.

- Bring a pencil, paper and measuring tape
- Draw a map of our outdoor space. Measure the space with your own feet. Try to draw it to scale as much as possible.

Concept posters (10 -12)
- Students create a concept poster for the idea that they are most excited for. (10-11:00)
- Students set up posters for display in Commons.
- Poster Cluster time:
- Lauren - 11:00 - 11:05
- Emma - 11:05-11:10
- Sara - 11:10 - 11:15
- Stephen - 11:15 - 11:20
- At 11:30 students and teachers meet back in the commons and student’s find their poster or an idea they love and cluster based on themes. . In their new clusters have students designate a couple of leaders.
- Students sit in a circle in their clusters. Teachers bring around the Capturing Clusters handout for each cluster to fill out.
